Step 1: Drawing with water-soluble colored pencil (erase/correct with brush and water).
Step 2: Monochromatic value underpainting to establish lights and darks.
Step 3: Add local color and texture to mountain area.
Step 4: Add local color and texture to cottonwoods.
Step 5: Add local color and texture to foreground brush and grasses.
Step 6: Add final details and texture in foreground.
