I encountered and photographed these three mule deer on my first solo hike on the Tyuonyi Overlook Trail which is on the mesa between the Juniper campground and the overlook for the Tyuonyi ruins in Frijoles Canyon. I combined the group of deer with a view of the mesa environment from a photo a took across Frijoles Canyon of the Jemez mountains.
