Frijoles Creek I

$275.00

SOLD

5″ x 7″ Gouache
Framed in light wood floater frame.

Piece from the Pathways & Precipices ~ An Artist’s Return to Awe and Wonder Series inspired by experiences and transformations from Bandelier National Monument Artist Residency for month of November 2022.

11/13/22 ~ Frijoles (Little Beans) Canyon was named for the consistently flowing Frijoles Creek that carved it in the volcanic tuff. You can hear it more than see it as it winds through the canyon. The creek flows all the way down to the Rio Grande in White Rock Canyon. To encounter visitors AND capture the creek, I found a wonderful spot beside a bench on the creek side of the Visitor Center parking lot.
