Piece from the Pathways & Precipices ~ An Artist’s Return to Awe and Wonder Series inspired by experiences and transformations from Bandelier National Monument Artist Residency for month of November 2022.

The north rim of Frijoles Canyon in the afternoons takes on a fire-like glow as the sun prepares to drop behind the southern canyon wall. I loved to take a late afternoon walk on the Pueblo Loop Trail to catch glimpses of this glorious glow. This timeless daily beauty would have also enchanted the canyon’s residents who lived there. The reflections are subtle within the sky area in the background.
