Ode Odysseus III

Odysseus is a young Great Horned Owl at the Virginia Wildlife Center.  His injury will prevent him from ever flying silently and successfully capturing prey so he is in training as an “Ambassador” to help educate the community on wildlife.  This painting is a homage to what Odysseus has lost, his ability to hunt silently in the wild.
