Piece from the Pathways & Precipices ~ An Artist’s Return to Awe and Wonder Series inspired by experiences and transformations from Bandelier National Monument Artist Residency for month of November 2022.

The ravens were a regular sighting, as if they were watching me. So, I incorporated the raven watching from above now as they would have then, over the Tyuonyi ruins with an inset of a turkey petroglyph from Long House. The glow even within the shadows is a key intention for this painting with the stark highlights of the north canyon wall rim glowing in the late afternoon.
