Piece from the Pathways & Precipices ~ An Artist’s Return to Awe and Wonder Series inspired by experiences and transformations from Bandelier National Monument Artist Residency for month of November 2022.

When I first arrived at Bandelier National Monument, the cottonwoods were still showing their glorious Fall colors! The sun angle from above the southern wall of Frijoles Canyon lit up the trees from behind against the deep shadows of the canyon wall. The dramatic lighting and colors made this a fun subject to demonstrate my watercolor process with.
