This is the third equine layers painting in this series. Working with the different scales of horse forms, to capture the essence of the horse. The first layer is a watercolor under-painting followed by layers of acrylic gel and acrylic paint. I like how the textures in deeper layers is still visible as dapples in the smaller horse.
