11/6/22 ~ It was a cold day but the underarmour cold gear worked GREAT! I was captivated by the view of the canyon wall textures and cavates (excavated caves) visible directly out of my casita window! This same view was visible from the Visitors Center back patio so that is where I set up. This piece zooms in on the cavates and dramatic formations of the north canyon wall. Amazingly, the under-paintings took much longer to dry than expected even in the dry New Mexico environment.
