Having drawn and painted for years, working in three dimensions always seemed a far off dream.  I'm so glad I chased it!  I never took a sculpting course, instead, I took a bronze casting course to learn how bronzes were made.  With this knowledge I approached the foundry with my first "home-made" mold, thankfully they humored me and threw a wax that let's say took some work to bring up to castable "snuff".   I learned quickly you get what you pay for allowing the professional artisans to work thier specialties in the process to produce a fine art bronze!
